ANGEL IN THE NIGHT won the Distinguished Play Award from the American Alliance of Theatre and Education. This must see, compelling drama is about a teenager girl's courage. Starring Olivia Baseman, it is based on the true story of Marysia Pawlina Szul, a Polish Catholic girl, who saved four Jewish neighbors during the Holocaust and became an "Angel in the Night."

A fugitive family escapes from a Polish ghetto and begs Marysia Pawlina to hide them. At great peril to herself and her family, Marysia becomes their sole provider and protector for two years. Following a moment of reprieve, Marysia's secret is discovered by the Nazis. She is captured, interrogated and imprisoned, and still refuses to admit the truth. This true story is an inspirational story of courage, compassion and heroism reinforcing the idea that one person can make a difference. Prime Stage is working with the Holocaust Center of Pittsburgh to bring this show to Pittsburgh.
