Notes from the Director -
Join four children: Peter, Susan, Lucy, and Edmund, as they travel
through a wardrobe into the magical land of Narnia. See how the children
work alongside the rightful ruler Aslan to save the land of Narnia from
the evil clutches of the White Witch and return spring to the land that
is always winter and never Christmas.
Hundreds have seen versions of the story
in play or movie form, and still hundreds more have read the book. The
aim of this production was to primarily stay with the intent of the
book. The White Witch is someone that is more than hated, she must be
defeated. Aslan is more than just caring, he is a benevolent
ruler.
To take the book’s ideals and convey
them on the stage with actors on a set is a challenge when competing
with the abilities of the human imagination, but only with imagination,
will there be Aslan, Narnia, and theatre.
