THE MUSIC LESSON - playing
May 1 - 17 This "World Premiere" is by Tammy
Ryan, the 1997 Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Creative Achievement
Award recipient. It is the heartwarming story of a 15 year old
American girl, her piano teacher from Bosnia and the ghost of a 12
year old Musical prodigy from Sarajevo who teach each other
compassion and courage through music. It is appropriate for ages 10
and up. This play is being developed with The Pittsburgh Symphony
and The Carnegie Library... It is made possible by the Howard Heinz
Endowment and The Pittsburgh Foundation.

are available to your school with the playwright, composer and
