In the
cold Russian winter, a dream came true! A girl made of snow
came to life for a woodcarver, his wife and some young people.
But what a girl she was! She ate pine cones, danced with a
frozen lake, made snow cereal for her parents who adopted her,
and loved being
alive! | |
| To bring this charming
holiday treat to you, Prime Stage is delighted to be working with
the Pittsburgh International Folk Theatre. They will bring the world
of Russia to life with traditional folk dance, mime and live balaika
music. What is a balaika? It is a beautiful stringed instrument like
a guitar. To hear how it sounds, listen to the soundtrack of the
movie, DOCTOR ZHIVAGO.
Starring Jared Pfennigwerth and Jaime
Shapiro as the Snow Girl, this play will make your dreams come
true for a new entertaining, charming and wholesome family or group
holiday event this Christmas season.
